RWRO Specific Events

Monday Event with Trey Grayson!

Monday, March 14th
Trey Grayson
Former Secretary of State of Kentucky and current director of the
John F. Kennedy School of Government

will come to speak with the members of RWRO.

Mr. Grayson was recognized in 2004 at the Republican National
Convention as one of “rising stars” in the Republican Party. He
served as Secretary of State for Kentucky from 2004 to 2011 and
successfully decreased red tape to start businesses or run for office.
He ran for the Republican Party’s nomination for the US Senate
but was defeated by Rand Paul in the primary, even though he
had support from many prominent Republicans, including Mitch
Daniels. He became the director of Harvard University’s Institute
of Politics earlier this year where he has received bipartisan praise
and support from prominent Democrats such as Caroline Kennedy
and Gabrielle Giffords. A friend of Giffords, Grayson spoke up
about the need for moderation and centrism after the Arizona
shootings and expressed his concern about how the issue became
political immediately by both parties.

Please join RWRO for an informal conversation with Trey
Grayson about his experiences in politics and the direction and
state of the Republican Party. This is sure to be an illuminating and
exciting event for all who attend.
